Round Of Thunderstorms Will Be Followed By Change In Weather Pattern

Relief from the extreme heat is coming thanks to a round of thunderstorms that will sweep through the region.

After temperatures climb to around 90 degrees on another hazy, hot, and humid day on Friday, Aug. 27, scattered thunderstorms will begin to erupt in the mid to late afternoon.

The chance for showers and storms will increase overnight and continue through the overnight into Saturday, Aug. 28.

Saturday's high temperature will only be in the mid 70s after several days of temperatures near, at, or above 90 degrees.

The could be more showers and storms in the morning Saturday, which will be mostly cloudy throughout the day.

Sunday, Aug. 29 will be mostly cloudy with a high temperature in the mid 70s.
